Then OS, library, and other compatibility is subsumed into other testing. Then you do an audit by the build team to ensure that the correct versions of everything are in the build rather, rather than attempting to re-test everything to make sure that a new build is compatible (which is likely to be very tricky to pull off).Phil Koopmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11849599272360094243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4172950626830217643.post-15265148448352516582013-12-12T12:28:50.729-05:002013-12-12T12:28:50.729-05:00Hi,

If a third-party library or OS is included in the project and it is later updated, then subtle issues may happen.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13380433589975073320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4172950626830217643.post-15632054510074109172013-12-09T02:31:43.183-05:002013-12-09T02:31:43.183-05:00Thanks for the nice article. I would like to add that you should add a test for checking that the correct version number is set for the final release version and that there are no BETA flags switched on for example.Markus Frankenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4172950626830217643.post-487925928178629892013-12-03T08:22:50.103-05:002013-12-03T08:22:50.103-05:00Hi,
